Services Available to Program Communities

Communities selected to participate in the Ohio Main Street Program receive three years of intense technical assistance including:

  • Ongoing training for the program’s executive director, board, committees and volunteers.
  • Advanced training on downtown business issues specific to the community’s needs, such as retail marketing and image promotion, business retention and recruitment, volunteer development, market analysis, design assistance, historic preservation and fundraising.
  • On-site visits to assist the community in developing its strengths, realize the opportunities and to plan for success.
  • Access to diverse resource materials:  training manuals, slide programs and revitalization literature.  
  • Linkages to the National Main Street network and other Ohio Main Street programs and communities.
