Open in the well-known restaurant spot at the corner of Clinton and First streets is Dos Eppis. Business owner Ricardo Leal says business is doing well with its complete menu of Mexican food.  Leal has also added a number of Puerto Rican dishes.  “The Puerto Rican plato (plate) is not real spicy” Leal said.  “It is your basic meat — beef, pork or chicken —  with potatoes, beans and rice.  It is flavorful, though.  We also have fried plantain and a dish that is a deep-fried dough with meat and potatoes in the middle.”

Leal has an extensive background in the food business, having gone to culinary school in New York City.  “Defiance has been very welcoming to us.  I think there should be a restaurant on every block on town.” Like them on Facebook for daily soup and sandwich specials!
