A COBBLER, A BAKER, AN INSURANCE PROVIDER Antique collectors Leon Jones and his grandson Ethan Plummer will present their research on prominent Defiance businessmen Reinhard Brown, John Deatrick, and Cobb Derricotte. Reinhard Brown, a German immigrant, founded the family owned business Brown’s Bakery. John Deatrick was an early insurance provider in the city whose office now serves as the site for the Schaffer Funeral Home.
