At the corner of Clinton and First Streets, Dos Eppi's offers a complete menu of authentic South Texas and Puerto Rican family recipe dishes. “The Puerto Rican plato (plate) is not real spicy,” owner Ricardo Leal says, "It is flavorful, though." Leal has an extensive background in the food business, having gone to culinary school in New York City. “Defiance has been very welcoming to us. I think there should be a restaurant on every block in town.”
