June 22, 23 & 24 — Join us as we celebrate our rivers all weekend long with great river events along the confluence! Activities at Pontiac Park will include the YMCA Family Fun Fest on Friday and the Northwest Ohio Woodland and Wildlife Festival on Saturday,  FREE pontoon rides, canoes and kayaks to explore the rivers, Kids Zone activities, live bands and food. Activities at Kingsbury Park on Saturday will include live music, corn hole tournament and an alcohol tent. The festival wraps up on Sunday with more live music at Pontiac Park and Art-In-The-Park at the Fort Grounds from 10:30 am -4:00 pm!  more details


July 3, 2018 — Join us at Diehl Park! Enjoy a day full of carnival rides, musical entertainment, and delicious food before the fireworks begin at dusk. If you are interested in being a food vendor, please contact the DDVB office at 419-782-0739.

Rockin' the Rivers Music & Ribfest

The last Saturday in September the streets of Downtown Defiance are filled with food, music and fun during our annual Fall Festival. The event features area rib vendors competing for awards for best ribs, best sauce and peoples' choice.  2017 Rib Vendors included:  Boots BBQ, Club 111, Inc., Defiance Eagle’s Post 372, Defiance Fire Fighters 918, Dos Eppi’s, Jacob’s Meats & BBQ, Jewell Fire Department, Kissner’s, Southern Belle Take Out, and Sweetwater Chophouse. Musical talent entertains the crowd from late afternoon until 11:00 p.m.  Featured talent has included Pete Schlegel and Brother Believe Me.
Plan to join us  September 29, 2018  for the greatest night of the year in Downtown Defiance!

Santa's Arrival

December 2nd, 2017 - Visit the State Bank Courtyard (Main Office) to see Santa and Mrs. Claus, and enjoy holiday festivities and be entertained by carolers and musicians strolling the downtown. 

12 pm - Hometown Hero Parade 
2 pm - Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive at the Defiance Public Library
2:20 pm - Storytime at the Defiance Public Library
3 pm - 5 pm - Events at State Bank Courtyard (Main Office)
5 pm - Official City Park Christmas Display Lighting


Chocolate Walk

Save the Date! The 9th Annual Chocolate Walk will be April 11, 2019 — Stroll downtown Defiance and enjoy some chocolate (and wine if you so choose) along the way! This is a delicious opportunity to enjoy a spring walk and get acquainted with our downtown merchants.
Last years event sold out - watch for ticket sales in February!

Lilac Festival & Street Fair

The streets of Downtown Defiance are filled with activities as we celebrate the official flower of Defiance with the communities largest Arts and Craft Fair. Join both young and old for a day of entertainment that features free lilacs to the first 500 attendees, a 5K race, the Power of Purple parade, live music, arts and craft vendors, unique food vendors and children’s activities. The Andrew L. Tuttle Memorial Museum will be open to the public. The event is free and located on Clinton Street.
